Associate Director of Athletics/Development
Hofstra University is seeking a highly motivated professional to serve as Associate Director of Athletics/Development. This is a full-time 12 month position responsible for fundraising and development efforts of the Department of Athletics. This person will serve on the Department of Athletics Senior Leadership team. The position will oversee and manage the activities of the Hofstra Pride Club, to include the annual membership campaign, special events, soliciting major gifts and cultivating relationships with alumni, donors and the Hofstra community. The successful candidate will serve as the liaison to the University’s Development Office and Alumni Relations Office to ensure that all athletic fundraising efforts are controlled and managed in the University’s best interests and in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by Hofstra University and NCAA rules and regulations. This position will also supervise a development staff that includes a Director of Athletics Development, Assistant Director of Athletics Development, Assistant Director of Athletics Development for Special Events, and the department secretary. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising/development, or relevant experience in sales/customer service, or athletic administration. Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as efficient computer skills. Preferred Requirements: Master’s degree, intercollegiate athletics fundraising/development experience.
