Instructor Nursing Medical, Surgical, and Psychiatric (Evenings) Full Time Faculty
Candidates must have a BSN with a Master’s degree in Nursing and a Massachusetts RN license; two years of full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five years; evidence of clinical competence in the area of assigned clinical instruction; relevant experience in clinical practice, proficiency in oral and written communication required. Preferred qualifications include: demonstrated leadership ability, commitment to promoting domestic diversity and/or global multiculturalism within the curriculum, technical expertise both in and outside the classroom, and prior teaching experience, community nursing experience and knowledge of holistic health practices. Faculty member shall be responsible for such community service and professional development activities as mutually agreed by the President of the College or the President’s designee and the faculty member. Consistent with the principles and standards of academic freedom and responsibilities, support the college’s mission to infuse service learning and civic engagement into the classroom as applicable. Provides classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction in Medical-Surgical and Psychiatric Nursing for the Associate Degree Nursing Program; provides academic advisement for approximately 25 students; serves on college committees as elected or appointed; attends regularly scheduled departmental, divisional and college meetings; teaches courses as assigned by the Director of Nursing; participates in student assistance/advisement; maintain office hours; participate in college service activities (i.e., college committees, meetings, activities, etc.); participate in community service and professional development activities; maintains clinical expertise; participates as a member of the NFO and its committees; and performs other duties as assigned.
