Lone Star College - Montgomery Part-Time Specialist IV, CE Advising (2 Positions) #12984 MC Job Functions: Advises students on proper course selection for Continuing Education workforce programs including recommended course sequence, course prereguisites and corequisites, supplies, testbooks, testing, immunizations and certifications to encourage student success. Registers and drops students before start of class for all continuing education classes. Answers multiple phone lines, takes messages, and/or transfers callers, returns phone calls and emails in a timely manner. Provides students with information and proper referrals to available campus resources and services. Provides support to Program Coordinator and Program Managers as requested. Must become very knowledgeable about all continuing education programs. Contacts students, instructors and staff regarding class cancellations, class changes or other pertinent information. Responsible for other reasonable, related job duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required At least 3 year of related work experience with students in an educational setting, including students with diverse backgrounds Salary: $11.55 per hour (not to exceed 19.5 hours per week) Work Schedule & Conditions: Monday- Friday 3pm- 7pm (not to exceed 19.5 hours per week). Hours may vary and may include mornings and/or Saturdays. One position will be located at Montgomery and one position will be located at Conroe Center.
