Duties: The work will involve applying, testing and extending image processing algorithms and protocols on magnetic resonance brain images, as well as communicating with clinical collaborators. Projects include computational neuroanatomy of aging and neurodegenerative diseases. Experience with medical images is a plus.
The Center for Biomedical image Computing and Analytics (http://www.cbica.upenn.edu/, CBICA) has been a dynamically growing medical image analysis group, including several laboratories and many collaborators from diverse fields. .
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating system, with basic knowledge of shell programming for organizing, compiling and analyzing data. Knowledge of one or more interpreted programming languages such as Perl and Python. Basic knowledge of scientific computing programs/tools, such as Matlab, R. Knowledge of high-level programming concepts, specifically using C++, is a plus.
