Job Description: The College of Pharmacy Office of Entrepreneurial Programs and Information Technology is searching for an Assistant Director. Responsible to the Associate Dean of Entrepreneurial Programs and Information Technology. May function for Associate Dean in his/her absence, as required. Responsibility for the overall direction and management of a finance and registration for distance education programs in the College of Pharmacy. Responsible for the development of policies and procedures affecting the coordination and administration of distance education activities. Responsible for the planning and administration of fiscal operations, including the accounting, purchasing, and preparation of operating and legislative budgets. This includes the distance education programs in addition to Information Technology, Educational Media, and Video Capture. Responsible for the selection and supervision of distance education employees. Evaluation of FTE in relation to program revenue to ensure the sustainability of distance programs. Oversees the maintenance of course, student, and faculty records by the registration staff. Manage and develop relationships with distance programs outside the COP to with the goal of starting an auxiliary that these programs can use for distance education support services. Responsible for coordinating financial and registration policy with main UF offices (Bursar/Graduate school/Registrar/Financial Aid). Develop a standard procedure policy that all COP distance programs follow that accomplishes improved efficiencies for the COP and UF main offices. Ensures payment to teaching assistants, consultants and faculty that follow UF guidelines. Audits income and expenditures and monitors control procedures of the distance education programs to ensure consistency. Manages the administration of the secondary accounting/registration system. Explore new technology along with the IT and Educational Media staff to ensure a system that is efficient and limits manual processes.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
