Manager, TRiO: Student Support Services
Hagerstown Community College (HCC), located in scenic western Maryland, is excited to announce that applications are being accepted for a Manager, TRiO: Student Support Services (SSS) position. This position is the program leader and offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with previous experience working with underserved populations. The Manager, TRiO: SSS Program will oversee the daily administration and coordination of the federally-funded SSS program, which provides academic support services for students who are low income, first generation, or have a documented disability. The position is the program leader and is responsible for the implementation of all SSS services to include intake assessment and referrals, academic advisement, the SSS orientation, SSS recognition ceremony, monitoring the progress of all SSS students, referring students to appropriate services, exit interviews, all federal required reports, and all other required SSS services. The Manager also provides academic advising and counseling to supplement the work of the SSS Counselor. Education and Experience - Master's degree in psychology, counseling, educational leadership, management, or a similar field required; minimum three years related work experience to include working with at-risk, low-income, and/or first generation students required; experience designing, managing, and implementing TRiO or other grant programs preferred. Experience overcoming barriers similar to SSS students preferred (low income, first-generation status, or a documented disability).
