Faculty and Dean of Arts & Sciences (Rank open)
Reporting to the Provost & Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences serves as the administrative head of the School, providing leadership and oversight for all academic programs and faculty in the school as well as all non-collegiate level, developmental curricula. The dean supervises the operations of the five departments within the School along with Fine & Performing Arts Programs and facilitates program and curriculum development, class scheduling, and faculty recruitment and development in each of these units. In addition the Dean is responsible for the development and administration of the budgets of the School and all departments within the School. In fulfilling the duties of the office, the Dean shall act within the framework of College and Board of Regents policies. Minimum Qualifications Terminal degree in appropriate field of study. Minimum of 3 years of academic administrative experience in higher education. Preferred Qualifications Experience with strategic planning, accreditation, assessment, curriculum design, baccalaureate degree program development, remediation, budgeting, dual enrollment with high schools, and other K-12 partnerships preferred.
