Educational Experience Requirement: Less than high school graduate with the ability to read and write. No experience required. This is an internship for Professional Golf Association (PGA) Golf Management students. Enrollment in PGA Golf Management Program is required. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature and Purpose of Position: To provide non complex, direct, and standard duties as intern for the PGA Golf Management Program.
Primary Responsibilities: Serves as an intern for the Golf Shop. Opens and closes the golf shop to include meeting and greeting players in a professional manner upon entrance. Manages the daily tee sheets and schedules tee times. Assists in golf shop merchandise display and sales. Utilizes the golf shop point of sales system and responsible for daily cash transactions and receipts. Oversees practice facilities to include setting range markers, sanding divots, picking, cleaning, and bagging range balls. Assists in golf car operations to include morning setup, cleaning, and charging. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications: Position may require the ability to type. Requires accuracy in all duties. Requires working outdoors. Work schedules may vary from normal working hours as required. Attention and care is required to prevent injury to self or others. This is a full-time, temporary, non-benefit eligible position. Position expected to begin May 15, 2014 and end on or before August 15, 2014.
