Job Description: The Program Coordinator in the Office for Equity and Diversity is a key player in defining the curriculum of on-line learning modules and communities, and the content for marketing and awareness programs. The Program Coordinator implements and assesses the institution's diversity, equity, and inclusion marketing and communications initiatives and coordinates special events, programs and conferences for faculty, staff and students. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of related initiatives by identifying, proposing and implementing the appropriate vehicles to meet the unit's goals and develops assessment tools to ensure effectiveness of strategies. Collaborates with faculty, staff and other subject matter experts to create instructional and informational videos and print publications for OED constituency groups. The Program Coordinator will utilize existing and emerging technologies to build awareness via online learning communities among faculty, staff and unit affiliates such as the Chancellor's Diversity Leadership Cabinet, diversity employee resource groups and equity related committees, including the University Title IX Committee. The Program Coordinator serves as the point of contact and training consultant for users of selected educational technologies. The Program Coordinator will educate and consult senior level campus administrators about OED's learning communities and will track and report the effectiveness and usability of online communities and recommend new technologies and approaches, as needed. The Program Coordinator will be one of the leaders in designing and administering complex programs and events for the university such as diversity seminars for faculty and staff featuring nationally recognized speakers. Leads a team of OED interns/student workers to assist with program logistics and communications. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing enrollment and completion records for mandatory and voluntary educational programs for faculty, staff and students such as diversity and equity sessions sponsored by the NC Office of State Human Resources; OED diversity seminars; OFCCP, Title IX and EEOC compliance law and university policy colloquia; ECU's online harassment and discrimination training; and the EPA search committee online training. Manages inquiries regarding offerings, and counsels faculty, staff and students about the varying prerequisites to participate in equity and diversity professional development opportunities. The Program Coordinator will create and maintain OED's contact, training, and program assessment databases, and will preliminarily analyze the criteria to determine how well the programs are performing by generating reports regularly as requested. Assists with research for diversity and equity best practices, policies and benchmarks. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum degree requirement includes a bachelor's degree with extensive directly related experience in marketing, communication, diversity, equity or cultural competence programs. All degrees should be from appropriately accredited institutions. Must have excellent conceptual, interpersonal and problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Education and Experience: Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in business, communication or a related field. Preferred experience qualifications include: experience using CommonSpot, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite.
