Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources / Management or related field required. Master’s preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to develop recruitment strategies utilizing innovative and creative sourcing methods including internet-based and social media recruiting, diversity and outreach to appropriate organizations to expand resources for recruitment. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resource administration is required; two years recruitment experience in higher education is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of technology including experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, Ellucian’s Banner or other similar HRIS systems is preferred. The ability to problem solve, multi-task and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency and the ability to manage confidential information effectively is required.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
The Manager will be responsible for the talent acquisition efforts for all college locations from onset of the process to offer of employment to the candidate. The Manager will liaison with College Managers and Supervisors to identify needs and develop recruitment strategies utilizing innovative and creative sourcing methods including internet-based and social media recruiting, diversity and outreach to appropriate organizations to expand resources for recruitment. The Manager will maintain the Applicant Tracking System including but not limited to maintaining position classifications and job descriptions on portal and will assist in the development, establishment and on-going maintenance of recruiting procedures and policies aligned with LSSC goals and strategies. The Manager will be a member of the HR team and have a willingness to learn other areas of HR to assist as needed. Use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.
