Class Summary:
Responsible for performing various duties related to facilitating the technical and production aspects of events at the College theater program.
Band: D61
Classification/Grade: D61

Minimum Salary Range: $50,506
Mid Point Salary Range: $63,978
Maximum Salary Range: $81,047

Minimum Education/Training/Experience:
Master's Degree in TechnicalTheater or Theater Production and three (3) years of professional theater production experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of:
-Applicable computer programs and equipment;
-Applicable Local, State, and Federal laws and regulations;
-Supervisory principles;
-Training techniques;
-Current stage production methods.

Skill in:
-Monitoring and evaluating staff;
-Prioritizing work and performing mutliple tasks;
-Using computers and software application programs;
-Repairing production equipment;
-Operating various production equipment;
-Solving problems;
-Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Job Duties:
Set construction and painting on each of six (6) productions in the theater season; supervising staff of volunteers and student workers to assist in construction and/or painting; making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.

Assists in the coordination of the management and operation of equipment and facilities at the theater.

Acts as on site manager during events.

Coordinates production elements of each theater production in season.

Supervises maintenance, supply and repair of equipment, parts and tools necessary for operation.

Potentially teach college credit courses in the areas of Stagecraft anf Technical Theater.

Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: climbing, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, and travel.
