The House Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a fraternity house, housing approximately 50 male students. This includes the following: 1. Oversee all aspects of house administration including room assignments and transfers, maintenance reporting, keys and key cards, room condition reports, coordinating house inspections, monitoring life safety systems, and coordinating "opening and closing" of the facility according to University requirements and standards; 2. Interpret and enforce university policy, which includes advising fraternity members in self-governance and personally conducting discipline meetings; manage program revenue and expenditures; in on-call rotation; file judicial reports, program reports, participating and other documents on-line; 3. Plan and implement academic initiative programs, leadership development workshops and programs, safety programs, and other programs that serve the educational, cultural, and social needs of the fraternity members; 4. Serve as liaison between the university/fraternity members and the house corporation and external constituencies such as alumni; and 5. Play a leadership role in at least one departmental committee or initiative. The person in this position will be required to live in the fraternity house. This is a 10 month position (August - May) for each academic year. Minimum qualifications are Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience. Masters in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, or Counseling, and managing housing facilities (Greek houses, residence halls, etc.) is preferred.
