Posting Description: University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Director of Experiential Programs The University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS), Office of Experiential Programs (OEP) is seeking a full-time Director of Experiential Programs. SSPPS is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus with state-of-the-art educational facilities designed to foster interprofessional education; three hospitals to support and enhance clinical practice and superb research facilities to grow the research enterprise. OEP is led by the Director of Experiential Programs who also holds a faculty appointment in the school's Department of Clinical Pharmacy. This position has primary responsibility for administrative leadership, management and achievement of educational outcomes of all experiential coursework in the school's four-year, entry-level Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. In addition, the Director shares responsibility with the Office of Distance Degree Programs for the administrative aspects and educational outcomes of all experiential courses in the school's Doctor of Pharmacy distance degree programs. The Director is aided in meeting these responsibilities with the support of two Assistant Directors of Experiential Programs as well as six administrative staff members in the OEP. The Director of Experiential Programs is expected to lead innovations in experiential education by continuing to enhance our IPPE and APPE programs, lead efforts to enhance the quality of the experiential training at our diverse sites and with our nearly 1000 preceptors, lead the development of innovative experiential assessments, obtain external funding to support experiential education innovation and produce scholarly works targeted at the dissemination of educational research, including implementation of experiential programs and documentation of educational outcomes. In addition, the Director is expected to teach, provide service to the school and the pharmacy profession and to pursue professional development. The Director of Experiential Programs reports to the Associate Dean for Professional Education. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a Pharm.D. and/or Ph.D. degree.

Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Desired Qualifications: Candidates with experience in the development of multiple experiential training sites, the development and assessment of experiential education programs and a track record of educational scholarship are preferred.
