Job Summary/Basic Function: The Clarkston Sr. Campus Facilities Manager is a supervisory, managerial and administrative position that oversees the Facilities services department of the Clarkston Campus as well as the college-wide skilled trades department. The Sr. Campus Facilities Manager will be required to supervise the professional staff which involves Custodial, Grounds and Maintenance services on the Clarkston Campus. The Sr. Campus Facilities Manager will also manage the college-wide Skilled Trades Department which consists of the following: Paint, HVAC, Electrical/Data, and fleet/small engines. The Sr. Campus Facilities Manager will be required to have a strong skill set in understanding how to work with all types of collegiate staff, both the facilities and academic sectors. This is an administrative position that will be required to develop departmental policies and procedures. This position represents the College internally, as well as externally (The USG Board of Regents, APPA, GAPPA). The Sr. Campus Facilities Manager reports to the Director of Facilities Operations.

Required Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory professional experience is required including at least one (1) year in a specific departmental area. Should have a minimum of two (2) years of direct-line management supervisory experience specific to the craft of some form of commercial facilities operations, preferably collegiate facilities operations. Must have experience in conflict resolution.

Required Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Management, Integrated Facilities Management, Construction Management, Industrial Management or a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Must have considerable knowledge of the professional field specific to facilities maintenance; considerable knowledge of management principles and practices; ability to plan, analyze, develop, and implement effective work procedures; ability and skills to supervise a very diverse work force including professional, technical, clerical, skilled and unskilled staff; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with college officials, faculty, staff, students, and others. Must have a unique understanding of organizational/institutional management.
