Academic Program Director/Faculty in Sustainability

Lipscomb University is seeking an Academic Program Director and faculty member for the Master of Science in Sustainability and Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Practice. The Master of Science degree consists of 30 hours taught in a weekend and evening, month-long format. The degree is ideal for students from any discipline seeking a focused career in sustainability, managing people and/or projects, including: corporate management, consulting, design, construction management, business and non-profit development, project management or green certification. The undergraduate degree in Environmental and Sustainability Science probes the intersection of science, people, society and faith and prepares students for careers in planning and application of sustainable practices, technical consulting, business strategy, public policy and non-profit management. The Academic Director of the Institute for Sustainable Practice will be expected to provide visionary leadership for the Institute, excellent managerial oversight of the programs, faculty and students, as well as model exceptional teaching. Specific responsibilities at: Greater consideration will be given to individuals who have taught or worked in a sustainability field. The successful candidate will provide evidence of commitment to the Christian faith; preference will be given to members of the Churches of Christ.
