The department is seeking applications for a Coordinator of the First Year Residential Experience to oversee the implementation of the First Year Residential Experience program. Through the daily interactions with residents, staff members, student leaders, and campus counterparts, this position is a vital part of the Office of Residential Life and Housing Services, and the Division of Student Affairs at Keene State College. Duties include, but are not limited to: • Directly supervise three Residence Directors who oversee the residence halls specifically dedicated to first year students. • Provide departmental implementation of the First Year Residential Experience program within Residence Life. • Assist in providing leadership for current and future development of first-year residence hall programs. • Assist in the coordination of campus outreach and collaboration for the first year residence halls including working with Career Services, Academic Advising, Study Abroad Program, Community Service, Multicultural Student Support Services, health and wellness initiatives and various academic departments. • Collaborate with the Residence Directors to develop academic, student support, community development and co-curricular experiences that fulfill the goals of the departmental community development model. • Evaluate FYE related programs and initiatives in residence halls. • Collaborate with position’s direct supervisor, the Assistant Director for Residential Education, in all departmental training efforts, staff selections, and in representing the department in college comittees and events. • Collaborate with Orientation staff in developing and implementing First-Year Orientation Program • Participates on manager-on-call rotation. • Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education or related field by time of appointment. Additionally, a minimum of 4 years of post-undergraduate Student Affairs experience; supervisory experience; demonstrated experience collaborating with faculty and communicating with parents; demonstrated computer proficiency with MS Word or equivalent, Excel, Outlook, etc.; proven interpersonal skills is required. Experience working with living learning environments, a commitment to a team-based philosophy; experience with social media desired. Salary range for this appointment is $40,870-$46,270; commensurate with education and experience and complemented by a generous benefit package. Opportunity exists for on campus housing.
