The Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Colleges invites nominations, expressions of interest and applications for the position of Campus Executive Officer and Dean of UW-Baraboo/Sauk County, one of its 13 campuses, located in Baraboo, Wisconsin.  The mission of the UW Colleges is to make high quality education accessible and affordable to all. Each campus provides the first two years of a liberal arts education and a transfer curriculum for the baccalaureate degree or professional studies, as well as a general education Associate of Arts and Science degree.  All campuses have guaranteed transfer and collaborative degree programs with University of Wisconsin System baccalaureate degree-granting institutions and six campuses currently offer the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree.

UW-Baraboo/Sauk County, with an enrollment of 600 and a faculty and staff of 80, offers a number of innovative programs to help students succeed, including honors and internship programs, online courses and collaborative degree opportunities, the newly established Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree, and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.  The campus is the result of ongoing collaboration between University of Wisconsin Colleges, the University of Wisconsin System, the City of Baraboo, and Sauk County.  As a result of this partnership, the institution is beginning construction of a new science building and a residence hall.  The campus is surrounded by natural beauty, history, and culture and is just a short drive to Devil’s Lake State Park, Madison, and Wisconsin Dells.

The UW Colleges seeks an effective higher education leader with demonstrated success in building strong partnerships with both internal and external constituencies. The successful candidate will be a visionary, capable of developing and implementing strategic, effective responses to current challenges impacting publicly supported colleges.
