Director of HIT and HCI
Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Master's degree in Health or Business Administration, Nursing or Health Informatics or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive management experience in an academic medical center, preferably leadership of a team implementing a major clinical information system or project. Minimum of three (3) years support and management experience of EMR/EHR systems and practice management is required. Knowledge of current healthcare information technology and applications from any of these leading vendors: McKesson, GE, AllScripts, Siemens, Cerner, Eclipsys, Praxis or Epic is required. Demonstrated knowledge of or experience in redesigning clinical processes to improve efficiency and patient care through leveraging process management/lean/six sigma tools Knowledge of RFP and grant development a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and supervisory staff is essential. Ability to work with a diverse group of leaders and stakeholders with demonstrated success in moving key stakeholders to positive resolution and to facilitate and coach healthcare areas on change initiatives Strong manager who is adaptable and has strong collaborative management style, a creative thinker with high energy and enthusiasm, and a team player who promotes the concepts of people working together versus individual performance.
