Full Time 40 hours Grade 009 URMC Medical Staff Services
Under the direction of the Manager of Delegated Credentialing, the Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for the enrollment of URMFG providers with non-commercial payers (Medicare and Medicaid) and the registration of mid-level providers for commercial payers on behalf of URMFG departments. This position counsels URMFG billing departments with respect to proper enrollment rules and the impact on provider billing. The position maintains up-to-date and thorough knowledge of non-commercial payer enrollment obligations and NYS and Federal regulations regarding enrollment; and the commercial registration process.
Coordinates the enrollment and registration process by assuring providers have a medical staff appointment, license, malpractice, DEA etc., compiling necessary documents and securing appropriate signatures. Prevents issues with billing by assuring applications are 100 percent complete and accurate.
Ensures group applications are completed on time when changes are made at the tax ID numbers. Completes the necessary enrollment forms and works with Payer Relations on any additional needs that impact billing.
Has direct contact with providers to obtain applicable information in order to complete the enrollment forms. Works with Billing Managers to secure information needed for group enrollment/changes. Acts as the liaison in directly responding to health care professionals and their department regarding status of the application process.
Assures confidentiality of documents, records and data information. Identifies and reports any non-compliance to manager immediately.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate's degree in secretarial studies or the equivalent plus at least 3 years relevant experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of payer enrollment a plus; knowledge of PC functions (Word, Excel, Access, e-mail, Web). Excellent organization and problem solving skills; proven communication skills and customer service skills. Ability to work in a team setting with all levels of management and staff.
