Position Summary: Performs technical, analytic functions in the implementation of complex integrated system projects in the field of research administration; prepares technical specifications for systems, interfaces and/or services; analyzes business functions of integrated systems; designs and develops business solutions in Enterprise Java platform; resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation; develops technical documentation using structural, behavioral, and/or interaction diagrams and flowcharts; independently meets with customers to determine information technology status, desires, needs; reports status in an accurate and timely manner; proactively seeks help, poses questions, and highlights obstacles.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related information technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; one to three years of related work experience in projects featuring the extensive use of Java Enterprise Edition; experience in designing and developing business solutions using enterprise java and related technologies like XML, RDBMS, PL/SQL; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; requires the ability to handle export controlled data.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Experience in Spring, Struts, ORM frameworks; experience in Test driven development, continuous integration; development experience in any Kuali application (like Kuali Rice, Kuali Coeus, Kuali Financial Systems etc.); ability to work in a dynamic team environment; excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and inter-personal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
