Department Overview
The University of North Texas System Business Service Center (BSC) was officially established September 1, 2011 to offer valuable business services to its member institutions in an effort to realize process efficiencies and cost-effectiveness in how these services are delivered. The service areas are Payroll, Payments (Accounts Payable) and Purchasing.

Job Description
The Business Service Center is seeking to hire a Payroll Analyst II to provide payroll and accounting skills necessary to the function of the Payroll Area of the Business Service Center.

The position will maintain employee pay records and process payroll related transactions. This position works under the direction of the Payroll Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in accounting or a related field and two years related payroll/time and labor experience; or
any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training which provides the following knowledge,
skills, and abilities:

*Knowledge of applicable laws, codes regulations, standards, methods and practices related to payroll
and/or time and labor systems.
*Experience with PeopleSoft North American Payroll, and/or Time and Labor, modules
*Strong understanding of Time and Labor tables and the use of PS Query.
*Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn University policies and procedures related to the area of
*Ability to troubleshoot and identify errors quickly using a highly time sensitive process.
*Skill in making mathematical calculations and computations with intermediate to advanced MS Excel
*Ability to provide high-quality customer service.
*Ability to keep complex records; to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and
submit reports in acceptable formats.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

*General accounting experience.
*Excellent customer service skills.
*MS Excel experience.
*Detail oriented.
