Job Description
The Learning Technology department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Academic Advisor II to join their team.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
*Advising the undergraduate students enrolled or considering enrollment in the BAAS in Learning Technologies. The scope of advising includes knowledge of specific program requirements and knowledge of prior work that counts towards the BAAS degree in LT. Recruiting in area colleges, corporations and/or military installations is also required.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in student affairs, student services, counseling, or professional academic advising.

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
* Considerable knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to
rapidly assimilate)
*Knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate)
*Strong presentation skills
*Strong problem solving skills
*Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing
*Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
*Ability to work independently


Preferred Qualifications
Must be available to travel several days per month, including occasional overnight stays.
