Position Summary: The Campus Access Control Systems Administrator (CACS) oversees the management and administration of the University's campus-wide building access control system Software House (CCURE), plays a leadership role in the design and implementation of new building access control installations, and provides project coordination with other university departments. Identifies potential security problems and takes the appropriate steps to remediate. Has primary responsibility is for ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the building access data. Additionally, this position is responsible for the development and dissemination of access control policies and practices and facilitates process improvement by coordinating the efforts of numerous University Departments. This position will also provide back up and cross training for the other Site Protections Systems Administrators. Responsibilities include: I. System Administration (CACS) Campus Access Control System -Establishing Systems' maintenance standards and management of the Systems' Maintenance Program. -Administrative oversight of the CACS System including coordination and interface with associated departments and groups; Initiating timely identification and resolution of related issues; Assuring end user satisfaction. -Performs system analyses, implementation and ongoing system related management and reporting. -Serve as the point person between the Department of Public Safety, Office of Design and Construction, Site Protection and contractors for issues regarding CACS System. II. Training, Code Compliance, Procedure Development - Provide guidance, training and oversight to users, potential users on the proper use of Systems. - Develop in conjunction with the System Engineer, distributing, and overseeing Systems educational information and user training. -Interface with the Office of Design and Construction on capital projects, interfacing with building managers, public safety and other essential users III. System Design & Development -Assists in the development of system specifications, and Requests for Proposals, assists in selecting vendors for security systems, and writes administrative procedures required to support operations. - Inspect, review and analyze University facilities, plans, programs and operations for physical security needs. Develop plans and recommendations of systems, facility modifications and procedures to enhance the physical security of University facilities, programs and operations. -Use team approach to develop recommendations for facility modifications to incorporate security systems to include CACS, intrusion alarms, and communications to enhance physical security and safety of facilities. -Develop and maintain a long-range action plan for system growth, maintenance, support and service. IV. Acceptance Testing & Commissioning -Test programs and databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications to programs and data; -Manage, coordinating and overseeing the Acceptance Testing Procedure for all CACS, Security, Intrusion Detection Surveillance system installations, expansions and alterations. V. System Operations -Perform and troubleshoot the installation, configuration, optimization and systems maintenance of all databases. -Research, evaluate and recommend best practices for database management and data warehouse-based reporting and automated interfaces between systems. -Plan, schedule and supervise the installation and testing of new CACS products and improvements to the computer system; such as the installation of new databases. VI. Field / Site Inspection -Conduct field inspections of Security, Intrusion Detection and CACS Surveillance system installations, expansions and alterations issuing periodic system condition reports to management.

Essential Qualifications: -Associate's or other 2-year degree required -4-6 years related experience -Knowledge of database administration -SQL database and MS Access program language importing exporting data into reporting software ; Crystal Reports or others Network knowledge: -Windows server configuration -Factory Certified in CCURE 8000/9000 -Window server work station client configuration -MAXIMO work order process -CBORD Database Integration -Familiarity with CVMS Campus Video Systems The finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check and a pre-employment phyiscal.
