PRESIDENT

CULVER-STOCKTON COLLEGE

Canton, Missouri

The Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee invite nominations for and expressions of interest in Culver-Stockton College’s 26th presidency. One of the oldest colleges in the Midwest and the first west of the Mississippi River distinctly founded to educate both women and men, Culver-Stockton celebrates a rich history, academic excellence, an entrepreneurial approach to program development, sound resource stewardship, a strong sense of community, a culture of openness, and a spirit of optimism. Culver-Stockton’s next president will build on tangible momentum and a promising trajectory.

This private, residential college lays claim to a strong liberal arts tradition coupled with an innovative curriculum geared to the needs of the modern learner. Distinguishing features of “The C-SC Advantage” include a unique 12/3 semester structure, a well-developed travel study program and an emphasis on experiential learning. Culver-Stockton enrolls 850 students on its beautiful 140-acre campus with sweeping views of the Mississippi and via its burgeoning online campus. Through its academic divisions related to business, education, the fine arts, humanities, natural and mathematical sciences, and social and behavioral sciences, Culver-Stockton offers 60 major and minor fields culminating in six bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees. Its curricula flow from its liberal arts core and reflect a commitment to service and lifelong learning. The College is situated in the warm and welcoming river community of Canton, within 20 minutes of thriving Quincy, Ill., and a two-hour drive from the dynamic St. Louis metropolitan area.

Culver-Stockton’s next president will embrace the opportunity to lead an institution serving students of promise in an entrepreneurial setting. Expertise in fundraising, enrollment management, resource generation, curricular innovation, partnership building, and short- and long-range planning will be important. Leadership and relational skills that instill good will, inspire trust, motivate others, and convey a deep commitment to the student experience will be equally valuable.
