ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL AID SYSTEMS (JOB 1011345)
The Assistant Director leads the ongoing development and maintenance of the PeopleSoft Financial Aid Module functionality responsible for the administration of a comprehensive student aid delivery system involving over 45,000 applications and $275 million annually. Conducts research, plans, and facilitates the implementation of federal, state, and institutional program requirements and supervise/oversee the Financial Aid systems Assistant Module Lead. Thorough knowledge of online student information systems (PeopleSoft preferred) and imaging systems. Knowledge of standard financial aid processing systems, applications, and verification procedures. Proven ability to analyze user needs and translate them into detailed specifications. Proven ability to design, develop, implement, and maintain complex technical rules in support of business processes. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and mange staff with full knowledge of personnel practices and policies. Expertise in financial aid delivery and the tools to automate the processes. Demonstrated ability to coordinate workflow. Demonstrated ability to carry out assignments without detailed instructions. Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence." Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, Communications, or related technical field and two years of directly related work experience required. The salary range for this classification is $4,314 to $8,831 per month. Starting salary may be set as high as $6,661 per month based on experience.
