Visiting Lecturer in African-American Religious Experiences
One-year, full time visiting lecturer, beginning Fall, 2014. Five undergraduate courses, minimal administrative responsibilities. Area of specialty: African American Religious Experiences. Specialists in African diaspora religious experiences in North America will also be considered. PhD by September 2014 preferred. Evidence of serious commitment and teaching excellence on the undergraduate level is vitally important. Mount Holyoke is an undergraduate liberal arts college for women with 2,300 students and 220 faculty. Over half of the faculty are women; one-fifth are persons of color. It is located about 80 miles west of Boston in the Connecticut River valley, and is a member of the Five College Consortium consisting of Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges and the University of Massachusetts.
