FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

Teaches a broad range of Communication, Theatre, Film, and Media Studies courses including Interpersonal Communication, Introduction to Film, Introduction to Theatre, Introduction to Mass Communication, and Public Speaking.

Full-time tenure track Generalist teaches courses such as Interpersonal Communication, Introduction to Film, Introduction to Theatre, Introduction to Mass Communication, Oral Interpretation, Small Group Communication, Introduction to Acting, World Cinema, African American, and Puerto Rican Rhetoric and Public Speaking.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

Ph.D. in Communication, Film, Theatre or Media Studies required. Minimum of 3 years college teaching experience. Extensive experience in instructional technology preferred. Grant writing a plus. Flexible for evening and weekend work.

COMPENSATION

$42,873 - $74,133; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
