Human Resources Professional Development Coordinator
Working Title: Professional Development Coordinator Job Title: Human Resources Consultant Job Category: Administrative & Managerial Position Number: 001325 Summary of Position The Professional Development Coordinator assists with the design and implementation of a comprehensive staff training and development programing including analyzing needs, planning, developing, delivering and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs designed to meet the university's organizational training needs. Primary responsibility involves the performance of tasks designed to enhance the competence of individual employees, training aimed at improving the effectiveness of work teams, and training to develop skills in administrative and supervisor development. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of progressively responsible experience analyzing, interpreting, applying, communicating and promoting HR best practices in the context of organizational goals and objectives; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Diplomas and degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have considerable knowledge of training theory and principles of adult learning. Must have the ability to interpret, apply, and communicate a variety of policies, procedures, and regulations. Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment in assessing training needs, development of objectives and learning outcomes, and evaluation of training. Must have demonstrated training skills, curriculum design experience and experience interacting with diverse populations. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office or other comparable office software programs. Must have demonstrated knowledge of audio/visual technology. Preferred Qualifications: Experience delivering adult training programs in the following areas preferred: Performance Management, Diversity/EEO-AA, Interaction Management, Supervisory and Leadership Development, Service Excellence, Office Management, and Conflict Resolution Training. Work Hours 8:00AM-5:00PM Work Days Monday - Friday Hours Per Week: 40 Months Per Year: 12 months New Hire Appointment Status: Permanent Minimum of Salary Range: $38,622 Max.
