The University of California, Davis (UC Davis) invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice Provost—Global Affairs (VP-GA). The mission of the Vice Provost—Global Affairs (VP-GA) is to provide leadership for the university’s endeavors internationally. This will include supporting and enhancing opportunities for international students (undergraduate and graduate), post-doctoral fellows, faculty, staff, and visiting scholars on our campus as well as students, staff, and faculty as they study and work abroad. The VP-GA will also coordinate and facilitate research and educational partnerships with international universities, research institutions around the world, governments, non-profit and non-governmental organizations at the institutional level. S/he will develop and implement a global UC Davis strategy for international engagement. The successful candidate for this position will have a clear and compelling vision for the development and implementation of UC Davis’ international engagement strategy. They will also have outstanding administrative leadership and management skills with a demonstrated record of success in a large and multifaceted organization. The successful candidate will be an able and experienced manager and leader capable of motivating diverse teams of employees with the skills and talent to develop and execute plans to enhance the overall success of international education and engagement.
