Position Summary: The Director provides vision, leadership, innovation, and advocacy in developing strategies to strengthen non-degree programming for professionals in countries aligned with the university's strategic priorities. Specifically, the Director is responsible to design and implement programs; develop and maintain oversight of budget; collaborate with academic and support units campus-wide; develop a strategic plan to expand recruitment in all regions aligned with MSU's strategic priorities; develop marketing strategies; establish international educational contracts with institutions abroad for short and long-term programs; recruit, select, evaluate, develop and supervise staff; recruit, select, monitor, and evaluate participants, and liaise with their sponsors; monitor and evaluate program outcomes; identify and solicit potential funding sources for conducting programs including writing grant and contract proposals; increase VIPP alumni engagement; and develop and nurture a network of local professionals who bring practical insights to participants through seminars and hands-on experience. The Director is a member of a diverse ISP leadership team strongly committed to collegial decision-making and management.

A master's degree in international or business related field is required. The Director must exemplify the integrity, leadership, accountability, and concern for the collective good expected of all of the University's international personnel. In addition, we seek an individual with skills and experience to develop and manage university international professional programs; an entrepreneurial person capable of intellectual leadership who can help catalyze a shared vision and can partner effectively with faculty, administration, and staff campus-wide and other partners in the community.

Desired Qualifications: A doctoral or other terminal degree. Experience developing and implementing programs for international participants.
