Luther College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish beginning late August 2014; this is a non-tenure track position renewable for up to three years based on yearly performance evaluation and college need. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. completed by September 1, 2014. Specialization is open but those with background in Latino Studies and Spanish for heritage speakers are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have native or near-native command of Spanish. The successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence in a private liberal arts college setting. RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time teaching load of seven courses over the academic year. The successful candidate should be able to teach all courses at the beginning and intermediate level of an undergraduate Spanish language curriculum.
