Tenure-track Faculty in Electrical Engineering (EE Circuits and Devices)
The Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) seeks applicants for tenure-track positions in the field of Electrical Engineering, in the general area of Emerging Topics in Circuits and Devices. The expected start date is July 1, 2014. We invite applications in broadly defined areas of electronic devices, circuits, and systems from Electrical Engineering and other relevant disciplines. We are particularly interested in: 1) emerging and/or ‘beyond-CMOS’ devices (including, but not limited to, nanoscale, molecular, low-dimensional, and quantum-effect devices); 2) all aspects of CMOS integrated circuits and systems design; and 3) emerging applications, including, but not limited to, bio/medical-technology (e.g., implantable systems, imaging, neuronal interfaces, biomolecular sensing and analysis), terahertz technology, and new technologies based on photonic, spin and thermal devices. Candidates are required to have a doctorate or terminal degree by the expected start date. In addition, we seek candidates who have an outstanding research record and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and graduate training. We are in particular looking for broadly educated and multidisciplinary applicants who can interact with a wide range of both Electrical Engineering and other SEAS faculty. Priority will be given to the overall potential of the candidate. The Electrical Engineering program benefits from outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, an excellent location, significant industrial collaboration, and substantial support from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Information about SEAS's current faculty, research, and educational programs is available at http://www.seas.harvard.edu Required documents include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, a teaching statement, copies of up to three representative papers, and names and contact information for at least three to five references. We encourage candidates to apply by February 24, 2014, but will continue to review applications until the positions are filled. Applicants will apply on-line at http://academicpositions.harvard.edu/postings/5301 Harvard is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Employer. Applications from women and minority candidates are strongly encouraged.
