Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Security Studies and International Affairs
Embry Riddle seeks a faculty member to teach and develop courses related to global conflict that include but are not limited to international political, economic, social conflict, conflict resolution, and human security. Candidates should possess experience teaching undergraduate survey courses. Field or research experience in diplomacy, political economy, humanitarian work, peacekeeping or conflict mediation strongly preferred. Primary tasks include course development, teaching, scholarship, and relationship building with external organizations and agencies and advising. Teaching obligations include 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester, post-tenure with possible graduate and online opportunities. Other essential duties include scholarship, general curriculum development, and committee participation as well as other duties designed to support the department. This is a nine month position, renewed annually.
