Job Description

Under the leadership of the Associate Director, the Academic Advising Specialist will advise a caseload of students and assist with the execution a variety of activities to promote the success and retention of first-year, freshman, and sophomore students at Montclair State University. The Academic Advising Specialist will also participate in New Student, Transfer, and Family Orientation programs and support the initiatives of the office.

Qualifications & Requirements

Master’s degree required and a minimum of one year of full-time academic advising experience. Preference will be given to candidates with documented experience working with first-year and/or sophomore year programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to work with a team of diverse professional staff and student is essential.

Salary Range $25/hr
