Position Information:
The Personnel Services Center (PSC) for the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS) is looking for an energetic, self motivated, detail oriented person with great communication skills to become part of our team. Under the direction of the Analyst II in the PSC, the Payroll Assistant III executes transactions for multiple CNAS departments for academic and staff personnel. Key responsibilities include payroll processing, maintenance, and changes to ensure timely adherence to monthly and bi-weekly payroll calendars. Assists with staff personnel functions related to hiring, separations, and records maintenance.

Candidates will be required to take a skills assessment.
Minimum Requirements:
-Four years education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or human resources, or related discipline.
-Demonstrated experience using online payroll or personnel systems or databases.
-Demonstrated experience working independently with minimal direction, as well as cooperatively in a team situation.
-Demonstrated understanding and application of general personnel, labor relations, HR, and payroll policies and procedures.
-Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize heavy workload with conflicting deadlines and frequent interruptions.
-Demonstrated expert level oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse clientele.
-Demonstrated ability and experience in providing quality customer service.
-Demonstrated skill in accurate record keeping with strict attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Two or more years demonstrated work experience in Higher Education.
-Two or more years experience applying UC Systemwide and/or UCR Campus policies, procedures, or systems for personnel or payroll.
-Earned Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, or related discipline.
