Gift Coordinator

Job Description Summary:

The Gift Coordinator will be responsible for managing all gift, donor, and other information in the departmental information systems. This position will work closely with the Assistant Vice President for Advancement Operations and Data Coordinator to ensure that all information is accurate and reliable. Employee must be an ambitious, self-starter and be efficient with limited supervision. Must be able to make sound decisions based on institutional, state and federal guidelines. Candidate must demonstrate professionalism and integrity while managing sensitive information and interacting with University staff and other constituencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma (or GED).

Minimum of 3-5 years in handling financial transactions.

Experience working in a non-profit or university.

Experience with data management.

Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all University staff and its constituents.

Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to work under pressure and manage all requests.

Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor degree.

Three or more years experience in gift entry.

Experience with the Raiser’s Edge.

Essential Duties Summary :

Oversee donor, gift, and other related information within the departmental information systems.

Responsible for all aspects of gift management to include but not limited to campaigns, funds, appeals, events, gifts, donor records, query, reporting, exporting, lists, mailings, code tables, attributes, and other related functions.

Manage all gift receipts, donor acknowledgements, pledge reminders and other mailings as needed.

Provide support for all annual giving and phonathon efforts.

Help develop and maintain efficient systems, reports, policies, procedures, and other documentation for ensuring data integrity and accuracy for reliable and timely information to promote the department and University’s mission and objectives.

Setup and execute information system queries, exports, and reports as required.

Provide applicable information systems training as required.

Provide excellent customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers and co-workers.

Contribute to continual improvement of departmental processes and procedures.

Safeguard the confidentiality of donor information at all times. Uphold department policies regarding confidential information.

Be a backup for the Data Coordinator as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
