ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $25,627 - $36,520, Band 04, SC State Classification System HOURS: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 6pm, Friday, 8:00am - 1pm CAMPUS: McAlister/ARC GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES In this challenging role, you will support the Financial Aid department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following: -Review and evaluate all incoming information and documentation for students. Review the student's records to determine if the student can be classified as complete. Request additional information and documentation necessary to complete the student's file. Perform all of these tasks in strict accordance with the Financial Aid Office's operational procedures. -Meet with students and assist them with the completion of their financial aid files and provide financial aid guidance. Be prepared, through the review of various financial aid information resources, to answer student questions and provide sound guidance. Receive and respond to incoming phone calls and e-mail messages concerning financial aid matters. Respond to voice mail messages in a timely matter. -Maintain proficiency in assigned FA program(s) and/or processes; administer specified program along with accompanying processes and procedures, to include required reporting and annual reconciliation, in accordance with established guidelines. Establish and maintain procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. -Prepare and conduct financial aid presentations and workshops. Become familiar with financial aid policy. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The individual needs to possess strong computer, written, verbal communications, and customer service skills. Financial Aid or Student Affairs experience preferred. Some evening and weekend work required, as well as, during busy periods some extended work hours may be required.
