We currently have an opening in our Graduate Division: Senior Institutional Research Analyst Requisition 19065 Under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology and Institutional Research, assists the Graduate Division in maintaining and analyzing the data and systems necessary to make sound administrative and academic decisions related to graduate education at the University. Responsibilities include: performing user and data-driven research, conducting data analysis; assisting in the design, implementation and presentation of research; providing user training for other staff to produce reports; reviewing and verifying data. The incumbent will also respond to requests from campus departments, Office of the Chancellor, UCOP and other organizations for reports and information relevant to graduate education. Qualifications • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodology, especially as it relates to higher education and graduate student development settings. • Extensive training and experience in complex data analysis, documentation and data modeling. • Skill in writing analytical and technical reports. • In depth working knowledge of SPSS, and other statistical software. • Skill in designing and implementing surveys, both hard copy and via the web. • Ability to analyze data, evaluate programs and procedures, interpret information in order to convey consequences and recommend courses of action.
