Position Title: Director, College Training and Development Position ID: 274902 Salary: $80,226.00-$100,283.00 Location: Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus All applicants must apply online at Job Description: The Director of College Training and Development provides leadership, resources, and consultation for the Colleges comprehensive faculty and staff professional development program in areas determined by the District Director and the needs of the College. Duties & Responsibilities: In conjunction with the District Director, ensures that the training and professional development recommendations for major College initiatives (i.e, Student Learning Outcomes, etc.) are fully implemented Facilitates the integration of technology into the curriculum by assuring that training opportunities, incentives and rewards exist Collaborates with campus and College-based personnel in designing, facilitating, and implementing assigned professional development workshops, seminars, and programs Assures that assigned professional development activities are effectively assessed and that the assessments are used to provide continual improvement Establishes annual goals for the responsibilities assigned by the District Director; plans, directs and reviews training development activities to meet those goals Demonstrates initiative in proposing new professional development programs, workshops, or other opportunities Hires, trains, develops performance expectations, coaches, disciplines, directs and evaluates staff Develops an annual report (calendar year) of activities, participants, assessment results, etc. for the District Director of College Training and Development Identifies grant and other funding resources to strengthen or expand program needs; writes proposals for such funding Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of five (5) years experience in training and development All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise Comprehensive understanding of training and education principles Knowledge of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written) Ability to participate collegially in planning Ability to effectively present information to groups of faculty, staff, administrators, and the general public Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations Ability to respond to common internal or external requests for information (faculty, administrators, other colleges, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and take effective action Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
