Job Description Summary:

The Marketing Director will be responsible to form contacts that may lead to future EMSE-OCP programs, and to develop them. Establish, update, and maintain a list of companies with major systems engineering and engineering management efforts. Perform analysis of a successful program launch feasibility and of the location's appropriateness. Establish opportunities for EMSE-OCP faculty to visit and brief contacts on available programs. Obtain information on national, state, and local requirements for program launch. Follow up on behalf of EMSE faculty on possible collaboration with foreign universities. This position’s work location is negotiable with telecommuting options available.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5-7 years of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


Desired Qualifications:

Degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field is desired.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Should be fiscally responsible and able to develop budgets.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs to maintain data and generate reports.

Supervisory experience is desirable.

Job Duties
  • Forms and develops contacts that may lead to future EMSE-OCP programs. Establishes, updates, and maintains a list of companies with major systems engineering and engineering management efforts. Compiles and analyzes statistics and develops end-of-year report. Develops budgets for marketing expenditures.

  • Establishes lists of company contacts and develops relationships with the contacts. Leads the conceptualization of the recruitment and marketing of all EMSE-OCP Office education programs.

  • Establishes initial communication with companies and locations, and performs analysis of a successful program launch feasibility and of the location's appropriateness. Participates in negotiations to establish new off-campus programs.

  • Establishes opportunities for EMSE-OCP faculty members to visit and brief contacts on available programs. Follows up on behalf of EMSE faculty on possible collaboration with foreign universities. Obtains information on national, state, and local requirements for program launch.

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
