As part of a Grant Administration team, the Grants Administrator is responsible for administering and/or facilitating the proposal submission process for the College of Engineering (COE). In this position, the successful candidate will assist faculty with research budget development and preparation, assist with preparation of the administrative portions of proposals, and coordinate with Research Administration and Finance (RAF) on submission.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in account or business administration with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in accounting and grant preparation and management in an academic environment. Must have a solid understanding of federal/university grant operations, rates and regulations preferably with knowledge of university accounting procedures. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects along with strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills. Solid skill using Microsoft Office programs, particularly for spreadsheets and databases.
