Director of Institutional Effectiveness
Job Summary: Provides leadership to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness in support of Institutional Research and Assessment efforts across the College. Collects, analyzes, communications, and consults on a wide range of institutional data to constituents across the college, to support and enhance informed decision making, program effectiveness, problem solving, strategic planning, policy development, and institutional and program self assessment. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in an appropriate field Knowledge of and appreciation for the unique characteristics of private liberal arts education. Experience with research design, descriptive and inferential statistics (both quantitative and qualitative), outcomes assessment, assessment of program quality, institutional effectiveness, and computerized databases. Three years of experience within higher education administration, teaching, and or service. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of and experience with SPSS or similar statistical software. Experience with strategic planning, the development of relevant key performance indicators, process and outcomes measures. Expertise in administrative survey techniques, statistical and research methods, and the ability to interpret and evaluate results to develop sound conclusions and recommend new or revised policies or practices. Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based upon research data and findings. Extensive experience in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or Ed.D in an appropriate field Experience with Ellucian Banner and its affiliated Operational Data Store (ODS) Knowledge and experience in the use of relational databases, preferable Oracle.
