The University of North Georgia (UNG) is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Affairs (POLSIA). The successful candidate may teach on multiple campuses as the schedule might require, but the primary teaching responsibility for this position will be on the Gainesville Campus. The successful candidate for this position will: Teach 12 hours per semester in International Relations and/or Comparative Politics, as well as Latin American regional courses. The candidate may also be asked to teach sections of American government. In addition to teaching, the candidate is expected to engage in research, advising and perform service activities. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in political science, international affairs, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to those candidates who: 1)Have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2014 2)Have experience teaching courses in the discipline at a university level 3)Have a second language proficiency / fluency in Spanish 4)Have a willingness to engage in on-line instruction
