Full Time Lecturer
Digital Media –FTL College of Visual and Performing Arts University of Massachusetts Dartmouth The College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is seeking a Full-Time Lecturer in Digital Media to teach in our NASAD accredited BFA and MFA design programs starting September 1, 2014. Minimum qualifications: MFA or terminal degree in the field; a minimum of two years college-level teaching experience; documented success in student learning with emphasis in two and three-dimensional computer modeling and animation, two-dimensional digital image creation, motion graphics design, storyboarding, storytelling and fundamental and advanced digital media production; strong organizational skills; a record of scholarship and professional activity in digital media, animation or time-based work. Preferred qualifications: Ability to counsel students on careers and opportunities in the field of digital media design, service learning, and community outreach. Responsibilities would include working with graduate students, advising independent study students and departmental academic advising.
