GENERAL DUTIES

Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices.  

- Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students

- Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed

- Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large

- Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials

- Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed

- Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy 

- Performs related duties as assigned.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Credit Evaluation Coordinator will be responsible for transfer credit evaluation services provided through the Office of Testing and Evaluation to include evaluation and processing of transcripts (both domestic and international) and standardized test credit such as AP, CLEP, ACE, and other external evaluation systems.

In addition to the general duties, the Credit Evaluation Coordinator will also be required to:
- Maintain the Transfer Evaluation System for prospective transfer students and enter affiliated and non-affiliated transfer work.
- Meet with students on all issues related to transfer evaluation and assists in the University's transfer system.
- Work closely with the Registrar's Office to ensure that graduating students have all the appropriate transfer credit entered on their academic records and coordinate the readmission process for students returning from suspension, dismissal and withdrawal.
- Perform data entry on numerous systems to ensure proper recording of the student's accepted credits.
- Serve as liaison to the Admissions Office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

- Two years of higher education experience in admissions or registrar's office preferred
- Strong communications skills preferred

COMPENSATION

$35,576
