Job Description

The Department of Political Science and Law seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates should have primary research and teaching interests in Public Administration and American Government, with specialization in one of the core areas of public administration including public finance, organization theory, human resource management, and public emergency management. The successful candidate will be prepared to coordinate the department's undergraduate Public Administration minor, including the coordination of Public Administration internships. Candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate introductory courses in Public Administration and American Government, as well as courses in some area of American public policy. Activities required of all faculty members include curriculum development, grant acquisition, research, recruitment and retention activities, advising, service to the department, college, and university. Montclair State University places equal emphasis on both teaching and scholarly activities.



Qualifications & Requirements

Doctorate in Political Science or Public Administration.

Requirements:
Demonstrated scholarship as well as an active scholarly agenda.
Demonstrated record of teaching excellence.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in administering a public administration internship program.
 



Salary Range Commensurate with qualifications
