Job Description Summary:

The laboratory requires a lab manager and individual to manage animal colonies. Existing personnel are a post-doctoral fellow, undergraduate, visiting scholar and assistant professor. The existing personnel are both highly skilled and focused on more complex tasks or are students. Therefore, a dedicated RA is needed to perform labor intense and tasks requiring less expertise compared to existing personnel.


Minimum Qualifications:

BS or equivalent in Biology or Allied Field
Individual must have employment experience in managing transgenic animal colonies
Previous experience in lab management
Evidence of previous training in safe laboratory practice
Evidence of ability to produce high quality written reports of experimental result highly desired.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Job Duties
  • Support lab personnel in ongoing experiments, individual will be trained to performed animal dissections, microscopy, ELISA, immunohistochemistry

  • General lab maintenance, supply ordering, contact equipment manufacturers for maintenance needs.

  • Maintain of animal colonies, ear tagging, animal husbandry.

  • Other duties as assigned
