Job Description Summary:

Responsible for the administration of all financial aid and scholarship programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

Six (6) years college financial aid experience.

Three to Five (3-5) years supervisory experience.

In-depth current knowledge of financial aid rules and regulations to ensure state and federal compliance at all times.

Ability to administer all Armstrong financial aid programs; scholarships, grants, college work study, and student loan.

Requires literacy in current computer services applicable to student aid areas.

Effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree.

Essential Duties Summary :

Ensures Armstrong financial aid programs are fully in compliance with current state and federal regulations.

Manage and supervise the financial aid office.

Ensures office policy and procedures are current and conducive to maximum efficiencies.

Establishes and modifies as necessary, training procedures for new staff members and student workers.

Plans and coordinates office activities, including personnel evaluation, system evaluation, and productivity.

Administers and coordinates all financial aid programs offered by Armstrong.

Provides guidance in the areas of counseling, verification, awarding procedures and program administration.

Prepares, or has prepared for review, all reports required by Armstrong and outside agencies.

Develops and executes a comprehensive outreach program to communicate financial aid information to current and potential students and parents.

Serves as a key member of the Financial Aid Scholarship Committee and Financial Aid Appeals Committee.

Assists other financial aid administrators, at both the state and national level.

Other duties as assigned and appropriate.
