Georgia Regents University, formerly known as The Medical College of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Chair, Department of Clinical and Environmental Health Sciences. The position requires an academic leader with excellent interpersonal skills to direct the efforts of an outstanding, collegial faculty within a research intensive academic health center. This is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with scholarly activities; publications and experience. For further details, please visit our website ( The Department The Department of Clinical and Environmental Health Sciences is one of eight academic units in the College of Allied Health Sciences and the Chair reports directly to the Dean. The department is housed in a state of the art Health Sciences building with technology infused classrooms and laboratories for education and research. GRU graduates are prepared for academic and career advancements. Graduates from our program have not only achieved advanced degrees including MS, MEd, MPA, PhD, DMD and MD, but also have attained advanced positions in health care, academics, business and industry, including lead therapist, department manager, program director, vice president, CEO, and more. Qualifications Required qualifications include: • Earned doctoral degree. • Demonstrated excellence in teaching. • An outstanding track record in research/extramural funding. • An outstanding track record in peer-reviewed publications in leading journals. • National reputation to merit an initial academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. • Documented record of successful leadership in an academic or clinical setting.
