The new President will have an opportunity to lead a College that plays an exceptionally important role in the educational and economic development of the surrounding nine-county region. The College seeks a skilled administrator who is committed to community engagement and partnerships, takes a collegial and team-oriented approach to administration, and successfully engages QVCC faculty, staff, and employers. The new administrator will have a well-rounded background in leadership and demonstrated success in financial management, fundraising, and strategic and academic planning. A motivated and collaborative work ethic, strong communication skills, and knowledge of national trends in higher education will be necessary characteristics for this position. The new President will report to the President of the Board of Regents for ConnSCU and will be responsible for establishing relationships with other system officers. The successful candidate will join ConnSCU as it seeks to become a national leader in promoting expanded college access, affordability, and opportunities for students of all backgrounds and ages. S/he will relate to state and local officials, as well as corporate partners, to effectively advocate for QVCC and promote the College’s programs and initiatives.
